SmartestEnergy has re-appointed Jo Butlin, this time as a non-executive director to support its global growth strategy as the company marks its 25th anniversary.

With 30 years in the energy sector, Butlin brings extensive leadership experience from roles at E.ON, Utilyx and previously within SmartestEnergy, where she headed its retail division during its early growth.

Her return marks a strategic move as the business scales internationally.

A recognised advocate for inclusion and talent in the industry, Butlin is a founding board member of the Women’s Utilities Network (WUN), which supports nearly 10,000 women in the utilities sector through mentoring, training and events.
