Montenegro’s S2P Tupan seeks EIA approval for 90 MW solar project
The EIA study will be open for public debate until February 2, with interested parties invited to submit opinions and remarks, EPA said on its website on Tuesday.
The Tupan project will be installed on an area of 1,560,200 square metres in the Tupan village in the Niksic municipality, comprising 129,408 solar panels. The panels will cover 56% of the total area, as per the project documents uploaded on EPA’s website.
Podgorica-based S2P Tupan was established in June 2023 for engineering activities and technical consultancy. It is owned by its founders – private individual Thilo Jochen Westerhausen and Swiss-based S2P Electric, with stakes of 55% and 45%, respectively, data from Montenegro’s business registry showed on Wednesday.
