Scottish Water facing strikes
A fresh wave of strike action is set to hit Scottish Water this week as pay talks stall.
Unite’s 500-strong membership overwhelmingly rejected the latest offer on Friday 30 May, which they say contained no meaningful improvements.
The strikes will run from 2 June until 8 June and will affect workers at offices and wastewater treatment sites across Scotland. Unite will hold a protest at Shieldhall Depot on Wednesday 4 June.
The latest pay offer is the union says, only slightly improved on an earlier one from May, with an increase of £250 over two years. For 2024/25, the raise is £200 more than the original October 2024 offer, while 2025/26 saw a £50 increase.
