A survey of nearly 1,000 people aged 11 to 25 in the UK found that current sustainability education focuses too heavily on individual actions, rather than the broader influence of governments and businesses.

The study, part of the Youth Listening Project and compiled by Dr Katy Wheeler, was led by the charity Sustainability and Environmental Education (SEEd).

Dr Wheeler said: „The research shows a clear mismatch between responsibility and power.
